Knots & Splices ,A very complete work ,The interlacings shown in colour with tables of strengths of ropes,wire rigging,chains etc. by Captain Jutsum of Cardiff.1908 covers grubby,but in sound condition,internally bright & clean. Classic vintage knotwork book,with stacks of lovely period illustrations,very comprehensive with masses of useful information.Very scarce.

Some headings:- Knots made on the Bight of a rope / Knots formed on ropes by their own strands / Splices / Purchases / Palm & needle whipping /To point a rope end /Wire splicing /Mousing a hook /Cringles etc.
