Sea of Cortez: Speaking of Wind

After a couple of comments about the Sea of Cortez and the westerly winds, I unexpectedly came across this boating blog where the same winds were a big part of the story. It's a short pdf file with a couple of nice photos and a poignant "final thought."

The fellow states he'll not make the drive again. There are alternatives if he's willing to come down the mainland side. 1- He can bus down from Phoenix for $41. Many folks who keep their boats at San Carlos do just that. 2- He can drive down from the border at Nogales to San Carlos and boat across.
