Finally, a solution for bad manners on the water

I wonder if this would be effective for dealing with wankers who like to throw a 5 foot wake all over groups of anchored boats.

Hrrmph. 30 seconds at slow speed in a small boat is like a lifetime in purgatory.

It's different in the Grand Banks where we can't tell if we're at slow speed or not. :-)

The news blurb on TV said it can "shred a car or plane up to a mile away." Here's hoping that soldier never goes postal.

I throw wakes on (more like contribute to stirring up the water) anchored boats all summer long. The boats are anchored on the edges of a ski/wakeboard/tubing zone. I sort of feel bad about it. On the other hand, these boats can move 50 yards away to the no wake zones; quiet coves with still water. Except, the boats are anchor buddied at campsites that are on the shoreline of the ski zone. I made sure that my campsite reservations next summer are for a space in the no wake zone.

This started out on topic, sort of. Now it seems to be derailed.

Sorry.

It's a tough call. Here, there's some unique bottom structure where loads of perch hang out and smoke cigars, waiting for fishermen. It's about 50' outside a channel. Although the phat boats don't really have to slow down, it's stupid of them not to, especially since the spot also happens to be about 100 yards past where the speed limit picks up from 3 mph to whatever. They can't wait 30 more seconds to hit the throttle? Putzes. Doug

Wankers. Are those folks with boats powered by wanker engines... or winkles... or wonkles... or???

Invented by Henry Winkler, for his motorcycle? (Or, this whole train of thought just left the tracks). Doug
