One last monster sturgeon!
With the pending new slot of just 10" (46" to 56") in California, my
goal for the next week or two (before the new slot is law) was to catch
one more monster! And I did!I caught a 72", 107 Lb. sturgeon on Suisun, near Garnet Point
yesterday. She fell for lamprey on an ougoing tide. Frankly, she was almost too much fish for me, I'm too old for those
knock-down brawls with such huge fish. Maybe I'm in favor of a somewhat
reduced slot after all. Naaah!! Photos and details on my homepage: www.FishWisher.com |

| I hope there's some of the "big'uns" left for your grandkids. |

| I'm sure there will be. But as of next week anyone's chances of
actually getting to take one will be almost zilch. God bless America! |

| Thank you, John. This is one catch I'll likely not forget. And Bishoop, I don't think there is anything wrong with CPR, feel free
to do exactly that with *your* next fish. But the fact is that it's
likely to be illegal to take an oversized aboard for a CPR here soon.
There's talk of not allowing handling of the oversize fish. I'm sure
some guys handle 'em Ok that big but I'm not one of 'em. And some folks
say it hurts those big'uns to be hauled aboard for a photo. |

| What's wrong with CPR (Catch - Photograph - Release)? |
