50 Days and Counting Until Paddlefest!

venue and discuss Paddlefest set up. ----- 50 Days and Counting Until Paddlefest! Hi friends, Special thanks for sending out this notice about our team
meeting Sunday evening at 6:30 pm at The Sandbar (bar) at Four Seasons
Marina across the parking lot from the volleyball courts. Come early if
you would like to relax around the pool. We will be walking the festival site (including the golf pond) to
familiarize ourselves with the terrain and to think through the layout
of our various activities. I also want to draw your attention to two events happening THIS WEEKEND
that are of interest to paddlers like us... 1) Safe Boating Week will be kicked off this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at
the Serpentine Wall with the annual "Blessing of the Fleet". Our
Paddlefest team has been invited to participate by, you guessed it,
paddling in the Ohio. Father Kenning will officially bless the "fleet"
of power boaters and paddlers from the upper deck of the Mark Twain
paddlewheel boat as we paddle by. Can't beat the TV and newspaper
shots, right? So please bring your boat and join us. You can park on
the Public Landing and put your boat in the water by the Showboat
Majestic. Please be in the water by 1:00 p.m. 2) The "Go With the Flow" paddling event and breast cancer fundraiser
will take place this Sunday on the Little Miami. It's a fun and easy
paddle for a great cause. Check out their website at

Challenge Raft Race and some human interest side bar stories. Please
