Ficht 150, 2000 -- engine cuts out intermittently

Have a 1999 Charger Bass boat195VF that I bought a used about fouryears ago. The boat was set-up with a 2000 Ficht 150 hp. Certainly heard rumbling about Evinrude, but the boat, motor and trailer was too good of a deal to pass. The motor has very low hours, and has run flawlessly. Motor is maintained by Marine Max in Baltimore. In February, I took the boat to Florida and it started to stall intermittently. There seems to be no rhime or reason. It will be running fine -- and begins to act like it's choking on fuel. After the motor dies, I can pump the bulb until firm and it will usually start right up. The only thing I did was to change the plugs. The old plugs looked okay -- no excessive carbon. Some time the damn thing will run for 45-60 minutes at 4-5K rpms, other times its a matter of minutes before it dies.. I'm going to replace the fuel filter today -- but, I doubt that's it. It initally thought I had gotten some bad gas, but I run two tank fulls since then.

The previous owner had a diagnostic disk and cable. I loaded the software on the laptop and connected the cable to the motor. I was able to download some codes, but nothing severe -- One problem is the software is a earlier version and I'm prompted to upgrade the software to use anything than option 1. I've order the software upgrade, but it has not come in yet.

Thanks for any suggestions/help.
