How many MPG?
I know it is a tough question based on driving habits, etc, but how far will
20 gallons go with a 19 foot cuddy I/O with a 165 hp four cylinder? Figure
calm water bay usage.I am not asking for precision, but rather a ballpark. |

| At normal cruising speed it will burn 4 to 5 gph, so 20 gallons will
last 4 or 5 hours. To calculate mpg we need to know speed and that
will depend a lot on how heavily the boat is loaded. |

| It depends entirely on what type of usage. For water sports, where you're
constantly on and off plane, I would venture a guess somewhere in the 2
miles per gallon area. On a steady cruise at optimum cruise speed, you
could easily double that number. |

| Well,
I had a Bayliner Trophy 21 ft cuddy with an OMC 140 Chevy engine, when
cruising at about 22 mph I would get around 4 to 5 MPG in fairly calm water. I don't normally measure distance or GPH as I am usually fishing and don't
care, but on a few 100 mile plus trips I did take I did get as stated. |
