Spam. Professional outfits advertise legitimately in magazines, newspapers and local publications, not NG's.

I wouldn't like the increased hours or the decreased pay vs. my present gig, but if a guy is looking for a career in new boat sales Olympic has a lot to offer. Big organization that would like to get bigger (I assume), and therefore a good environment for an ambitious individual willing to scramble up the corporate ladder. They do a *huge* business, and a guy or gal willing to work the retail hours could do pretty well. Chuck

I was also surprised to see this appear here, but make no mistake; Olympic is as professional as they get. They sell something like 25% of all Bayliners sold in the world. With their other brand names, they have a range of products available from entry-level boats at around $10k up to some pretty decent yachts well north of $1-million. Ideal place to work if you want to build up a clientele of "step up" prospects. Chuck

For all we know KimberlySReed@gmail.com is a professional headhunter looking to catch a commission check. At least it looks so to me. ;-)

Kind of an oxymoron post. Nobody with a "love and knowledge of boats" and a "high high attention to detail" would want to sell Bayliners.

JimH, This is the first time I have seen a professional organization make a post for a job in Usenet, but I guess he thought he might find someone who loved boating, but really was not looking to change jobs.

Maybe Chuck can see if they actually got any leads from the post, my guess is the pool of readers in their demographic area is too small.
