HOT HOT HOT!!!
Went out early this morning - 3AM and it was still hot even out on the
water.Hit a Grand Slam with a monster blue fish, 38" striper and of all
things a Mahi along with a couple of fluke. Caught a bunch of blues
and schoolile stripers - all in all a good day. We were back at the dock by 8 though - freakin' hot. It's so hot, the dogs don't even want to go outside. :>) It's now, according to my handy dandy hi-tech weather station, 93
degrees with a heat index of, get this, 102. THIS IS FREAKIN' NEW ENGLAND!!! ~~ mutter ~~ |

| Take yourself down to Marthas Vineyard and troll the south shore for
bluefish and stripers. It gets *very* exciting when you've got two or
three on at the same time and you have to decide which rod to reel in
first, and the line is screaming out. :-) The last time I did that we were trolling plastic eels and the
bluefish were biting them in half faster than I could rebait. Mrs B does an excellent job cooking up fresh blues but I have to find
some place to fillet them where she can't watch. |

| LOL! NOYB, I have to admit, the fishing in Florida is boring. Hours and hours of
nothing happening. Eisboch |

| Hehe, I moved away from CT because of the summers, not the winters. <g> I
just can't handle that humidity. --Mike "Shortwave Sportfishing" <onetwothree@four.com> wrote in message |

| We get a sampling of southern fish up here off the MA, CT and RI coast
during the summer. Mahi and even an occasional Sailfish show up. Eisboch |

| Having tried my hand at fishing over the years I've determined that I really
can't get into chasing blues, stripers, sharks or whatever. But tuna
fishing is still fun and challenging to me. It's not a sure bet by any
stretch that you will even get a "hit" during a season, but when you do, all
hell breaks loose. One decent tuna can make your whole summer. My brother
and I still brag about our first and that was three years ago. Keeps getting
bigger in our minds, too. Eisboch |

| This past Saturday, I was fishing with a friend and we saw a blue heron with
a wingspan of at least 30 feet. And, don't tell me it was the beer talking. |

| 30 feet? Sure it wasn't a Cessna with a custom paint job? Eisboch |

| Supposed to get up to 30 C here today. Bit tough to work outside,
although I had to have a new U-bolt made today and now have to spray it
with my zinc paint before installing to hold down the boat trailer winch
mast. |
