Tongue jack. Caster wheel. Simple question.
First, I'm a novice, so please forgive the simpleton question:I jacked my boat up to the highest position, and now the jack handle
only operates to turn the caster wheel. I'm assuming it is made that
way on purpose, but I can't get it back into "jack mode". Did I break it, or is this a separate function? How do I get it back?
Thanks in advance! MD |

Mine has a "bump" forged into the tubes.... they have to be aligned
for them to slip together.....

| Is the wheel off the ground? If so, just hold it steady (keep it from
turning), and it will operate normally. --Mike "mattydee35" <davism@musc.edu> wrote in message |

| For right handed people- Grasp wheel firmly, with your left hand, and hold,
while turning the jack crank handle anti-clockwise with your right hand.

| Mine must have come apart too. The wheel will rotate 360. I thought it was
supposed to do that. ??? |

| They all do that once the weight is off the wheel. I just put a foot
against the wheel to keep it from spinning when jacking up or down in
this mode. Corrects itself once friction/resistance is established on
the wheel. |
