| I think you are confusing the two manifolds. Water being forced into the exhaust will result in water getting into
the EXHAUST manifolds, not the intake manifold. There is not any storm
event that will get water into the intake except water leaking into the
top of the carb. Water in the exhaust manifolds will end up in the
cylinders and can leak past the rings into the oil. You cranked it
with the plugs out so you have cleared any water in the cylinders out.
Changing the oil gets the water out of it. I suspect the wet you see at the bottom of the carb is probably gas.
If it is water it got there from your fuel tank. Either you have water in your gas or you have a wet ignition system. Dump your water separator and see what's in it. Take a plug and a wire off, put the plug on the wire and lay the plug
on the metal part of the block so it is grounded. Get someone to crank
it. See if the plug sparks. And turn off you caps lock on your computer. sonofadocker wrote: |
