VacuFlush
Did you know that one of the major advantages of a VacuFlush marine
toilet is that is only uses about a pint and a half of water per flush? That sort of efficiency is capable of extending the effective capacity
of a holding tank by about 400% when compared to the less efficient
flushing systems. |

| Another advantageless noise and less likely to wake you up when your
better half has to empty her/his bladder in the middle of the night. ;-) |

| But when that tank is full , I'd say it probably weighs a metric
sh*tload! *snarf* |

| True ... the Navigator has VacuFlush heads and they have been trouble-free
for 6 years. The only thing is ... the natural bacterial breakdown of
solids in the tank depends on an adequate supply of water. I've been using
the stuff Peggie Hall recommends for years (Raritan K.O.) but always add a
little bit more water to the bowl than that which is automatically filled by
lifting the lever with my foot after each use. Even with that, with a 100
gallon holding tank, it has never been more than 30 percent filled before I
dump or have a pumpout. Eisboch |
