My guess is that the boat in your photo is smaller than 26-feet. It doesn't look that large, and the cabin window on the boat in your photo is proportionately smaller than the one on the 26. (one of my personal cheats for guesstimating boat sizes).

My source "The Powerboat Guide" doesn't list the smallest boats built by each mfgr, but your photo boat is closely related to a Monterey.

There was also a 26 Montego, but that wasn't introduced until 1985 and the lines are slightly different. The forward section of the Montego is higher to provide more cabin headroom. The Monterey had (skinny) side decks, but the Montego had none.

The Montego was offered in larger sizes as the years went by, so there is no reason to preclude the possibility that the 1980 26' Monterey might have been a larger version of an earlier and slightly smaller Monterey.

I'm guessing 22-24 feet, and would be surprised if it were a 26-footer.

My reference to cabin window size: in the photo of the 26 the cabin window is a bit longer in proportion to the superstructure. Longer boats typically have a greater number of windows, or larger versions of an equal number of windows.
