Big engine, lots of HP and shallow water and white water. Not no poofy smooth racetrack with carb plate restricted motors. Calif

Oh wow.

I'm impressed.

Whoopee.

Call me when they hit 180 mph. :>)

I used to do 160 mph in my B-prod SCCA Vette. Did not seem anyshere as fast as 90 mph on water. Calif

I hit 135 in my GTX at Talledega. Now that was a ride.

Although I agree with you - for some reason 50 mph on water feels like 100 on land.

Darn right, and the smaller the boat and the rougher the water, the faster it feels.

During the week I took the RIB dinghy with the new Honda 20 out for a spin on the river. It starts to get very light and squirrely on the wave tops around 20 kts and you'd think you were doing at least 100. Today I was out in the 27 ft Searay with much more chop and it was a walk in the park.

Upside down, sideways, rolling, and on fire, and full of water. But NASCAR is better watching as there is more than one vehicle on the track at a time. Calif
Feb 24
How can they be on fire if they are full of water? Short
Feb 24
Yes, and NASCAR does not race over a muddy field with 5 inches of water in a ditch.

Any resemblance to real boating is purely coincidental.

If there is a form of auto racing more boring than NASCAR, I haven't found it. I went to two races at Daytona when we lived in Florida, and just couldn't get into them. Harry

Just like those sinking ships in the WW2 movies. A little gas floating on the water. CalifBill
Feb 25
That is just Sprint Boat racing. they also race up rivers. http://www.westernwhitewater.org/ has clips. CalifBill

Yes, that is a little easier to relate to. Wayne.B

I guess that's exciting. Short

That means the water is on fire.

I WIN!! NASCAR RULES!!

Feb 25
Yeah - pretty neat, but can they cross the finish line upside down sideways on fire?

I think not. :>)

Do they refill the racetrack every once in a while? Seem like the boats throw a lot of water off the course.

Yes, they can cross the finish line upside down and on fire. Calif
Feb 24
Not sideways?
