New York City area man, totally inexperienced, looking to crew on a local boat
Hi,I've gotten interested in boating lately and am taking the USPS basic
boating course. I'd like to get some local experience aboard a boat --
power or sail makes no difference. If you are looking for an extra
hand for a day on the briny (or up the river, or whatever), please
email me. Thanks

| If you will consider a ride to Baltimore I'd be happy to oblige. Looking to
do a trip to NYC over the summer but that would be the exception. Dave

| The plan is that we will bring the boat north this summer, probably
arriving WLIS by early July. Do you know if there is any WiFi service
in or around Oyster Bay yet? Two years ago we couldn't get connected
there so could only visit on weekends. We'll keep a lookout for you. The new boat is a Grand Banks 49 trawler with a Florida home port and
lots of WiFi antennas. :-) |

| Oyster Bay Marine Center put in a WiFi service last year. There is a
fee, but it does cover much of the harbor. http://www.obmc.com/ Larry Weiss

| Peter, Since you've taken the basic USPS course, why don't you join your local
Power Squadron. You'll surely be welcome, you'll make new frinds, and
are nearly certain to be invited to crew aboard several members' boats
if you put the word out that you are looking. Larry Weiss

| Wow, another name from the past... Can Skipper and JAX be far behind? So how's everything in Oy Bay Larry? |
