Corrosion-proofing pin connectors
I am looking for a gel that I can smear on my pin connectors, for my
fishfinder, that will prevent corrosion but still conduct a signal.
Thanks |

Check at your local auto supply store for di-electric silicone grease.
A tiny amount will do ya. Clean it off on a semi regular basis with
tuner cleaner. Some tuner cleaner even has a lubricant in it.
Pipe cleaners are good for getting into the holes of connetors and
also work good for trailer connectors. Just double them up by bending
in half for the larger holes.

| This is the best there is for that application, and anywhere else
corrosion can be a problem,, on any metal, boat ,electronics, anywhere I've been using it for a year now,, just awesome, even in salt water

| Local shipyards use a product made by Dow Corning. I've got a tube big
enough to last everyone on this NG a lifetime.

| Do you guys put this on battery terminals as well? Just curious. I have a
tube of this and was going to use this on my fish finder and trailer/car
connection. Wondering if I should use it elsewhere too. Thanks,
