A good night

Tonight I managed to get out for a couple of hours to go fish the local lake(Watchung). Very small, a few acres, but it's got some real nice fish. As soon as the sun dropped they started hitting. First a dink about 10 inches or so. Then a long skinny about 2 lbs. followed quickly by one maybe 3 lbs.. Then I moved to the other side of a small cove and cast into a rocky shoreline and slowly my line started to pull away from the edge. I set the hook and it was on. Right away the drag started. I didn't want to lose this one so I was patient but it had to take a solid 3 to 4 minutes to land it. This fish was about 20 inches and fat, I would guess about 5+ maybe 6 lbs but I had no scale or camera, bummer. It was getting pretty dark and I figured it couldn't get much better so I headed toward my truck. Halfway there I run into a couple of local anglers and I stopped to B.S. and cast a few times when suddenly, I hooked into another fatty. This time I had company and one had a digital camera with him. He said he would e-mail it to me tonight. The fish I think ran about 4 lbs. I think. Again, no scale, I'll let you decide when I can post a picture. But the big one was a lot bigger, longer and fatter. I'm sure it was my personal best, I wish I had proof. I guess it's better to have the experience than not anyway.
