| In Louisiana a few years back, a whole lake disappeared. There were a =
couple of guys fishing in a small boat that stated the water started to =
swirl like a whirlpool. When they noticed the water starting to move =
they cranked up and headed for the shore. They ran aground several =
hundred yards away from the normal shoreline. Unlike the case in the =
article, the problem in Louisiana was Texaco drilled through the roof of =
a salt dome thus allowing the water to drain into the salt dome. =
Several pieces of real estate property were also lost from the ground =
caving in. The drilling rig also went down into the dome. Amazing no =
one was hurt are lost their lives. See http://members.tripod.com/~earthdude1/texaco/texaco.html for =
information. Sarge
