season opener

The bass season opens next weekend. I'll be passing Stony's stony lake on the way to my lake as a side note. It sound like he has a good fishing situation as a side note. I have to fish a bay with some but not a lot of bass unfortunately, I'll be using jointed rapala and plastic worms and also perhaps the traditional floating rapala. I was also thinking of night fishing with jitterbug type lures to see if more bass move in at night. Any helpful comments on strategy would be appreciated.

I have to pack my gear for next weekend. I like the thoughts of using the traditional rapala. I remember vaguely on one of my outings i used it and the bass were hitting it well. I may upgrade the hooks. I like catching fish on crankbaits versus soft plastics. Lately ive seen a lot of bass hugging the shoreline. I think this vision is a bit of a precurssor of what will happen. I'll lobe either a soft plastic or a crankbait close to shore and it will be hit and all hell will break loose. I may mosey up to walmart to stock up on some extra gear. I'll keep you posted. thanks lurebuilder

Is marijuana legal in Canada? Charles

I don't know about marijuana but apparently stupidity is. IBNFSHN

marijuana is almost legal in Canada. How do you give someone who fishes seven to eight days a week advice on the opener? Why would they ask? I would strongly suggest, perhaps, a "jointed" Rapala or some kind of crackbait, wouldn't you Charles? -- Stony

If you are going to give advice under such circumstances it should be done very carefully to avoid making an ass out of yourself. It is true i do fish 5 to 7 days a week. I actually just got back from fishing this evening. For instance your smart ass posting on the prize lure thread was quite mistake. It just so happens that there is pros that will go through tons of lures to find the "hunt for the centre" criteria in a lure. Such lures are prized and not used during practise outings. lurebuilder

That's it! Maybe the reason no-one here understands him is because he uses this newsgroup as a message board to his suppliers! You know... like the code numbers on pagers that they use?

You guessed the "jointed" rapala, and the crankbait (could be meth, too)

Here's more: Season Opener: I need more stash then... Walmart/Taco Bell: Could be their meeting place... Pike: code name for "pipe"

Wonder if there is more?

Then again... you're using the nick "Stony". Whatchu got to say for your defense? LOL

Mr. Summers seems to think he is free an open to make scurious accusations about people. I guess he doesn't realize that a person's income and financial well being may depend on the person's credibility. This is particularly true if you are employed in a position of trust. An employer may insist on it and he may act adversely if he finds out otherwise. I thought Stony handled it well. lurebuilder
