catfish chaos
This morning me and Dave "what time is it" V went out to catch a few =
LM, all in all a good few hours out we boated and released 8 nice bass =
in preperation for this Saturdays team tourney. Including a nice 4+ =
pound bass that crushed a buzzbait right before sunlight. That fish has =
a dead catfish hanging out of it's mouth. Dave pulled the catfish out =
and it was close to a pound in it's half digested state. Question: During a tourney if the fish is placed in the livewell and =
doesn't spit up the catfish would it be included with the weight at =
weigh in? Or would it be taken out? Should the dead fish be removed =
prior to putting it in the livewell? Just wondering

| Usually, regurgitated baitfish cannot be weighed... but I guess if it's
still in there, then you're good to go! "alwaysfishking" <alwayfishking@nospamptd.net> wrote in message

| If the fish doesn't spit up what it ate, then the contents are part of the
fish, even if partially exposed. But if a fish does spit something up,
you're not allowed to shovel it back in. I've seen pros do exactly that
though. When questioned, the logic was that "it was part of the fish when I
caught it". But that doesn't fly if they've culled even one fish during the
day. RichZ©
