| Pardon my top post, I'm just to tired to snip effectively right now.
That being said, just being in the boat with Rich and watching him
fish is a learning experience in itself. If any of you ever get the
chance to watch him work a Fin-S fish around the weeds at Mudge, don't
even bother casting for a while. Just watch and allow yourself to be
awed. Perhaps awe is too strong of a word (perhaps not...), but you
will definitely learn a thing or two about soft jerkbaits. One of the things I appreciate about fishing with Rich is the dialog.
Ask as many questions as you want, but be prepared to answer as many
as you ask. Rather than give you a direct answer, he is more likely to
get you to answer your own question. He understands that, as with most
other problems, there is a certain satisfaction to figuring it out an
answer on your own. You are also most likely to retain what you have
learned this way also. Geez, I'm rambling. I didn't realize that Mr. Z made that much of an
impression on me. I'll shut up now. :)
