catch limit
I was surveying some fishing regs in an area (larger than Alaska) where i want
to fish. They have a catch limit as part of the regs. The catch limit is for
catch and release. Per species of game fish it varies from 1 to 5 on a daily
basis. Heck you fishing time could be limited to 15 minutes on the water since
most of the lakes are fish factories. Is there something that i'm missing in
these regs. Thanks |

| Now, I read that post, and he said he was going to try not to post, but just
read the group. He didn't actually promise to not post.

| The only way i see it since the fishing situation is in a large part a fly-in
affair the catch limit is not enforceable. As the saying goes out of sight out
of mind. There is also the reg requiring the use of barbless hooks which is
fair . The possession limit is fair. The catch limit is problematic. |

| I think it would be better if they had a daily possession limit and an
accumulated daily possession limit. A catch limit is very limiting in terms
time spent actually fishing. I see it now with limits of one to five fish
....okay boys i caught my fish ..thats it for me today. |
