Question on Ficht Oil
I just bought another gallon of Evinrude Ficht oil today, and the price has
jumped again. It is now $25.50/gal here. I know in the scheme of things,
it's not a big deal. I'll spend more that every weekend on gas, coffee, and
sandwiches for a day's fishing.I'm just wondering what some of the rest of you are paying. Is this in
line?

| Jeez Scott, I was complaining about paying $16.00 for a gallon of Mercury QuickSilver
oil! If I were you, I'd look at changing oil brands. From what I've been told, as long as the oil is TCW3 rated, it's all right
for your motor. Talk to an outboard mechanic that you trust and can
believe. You coming to the Northwoods Classic? |

| Bass Pro had the Mercury Premium 2 cycle for about $12 per gallon recently.
Normally, it is closer to $16. Recently, I switched to 100% synthetic from
Amsoil. That is costing me less than $18 per gallon. My neighbor is a
dealer for them. In my opinion, Amsoil and Red Line make the best synthetic
oils on the market. I think you need to change oil manufacturers as you are
not getting what you are paying for. Jeff |

| The local Evinrude dealer and warranty dealer sells bulk TCW3 synthetic to
all of his customers for about $16 / gallon. That is what I use in all of
my boats.
