It's gonna be a cold winter
As I sit typing and the winds blowing, I can't help but think that this
season is gonna end in just a few short weeks.. Now I know that people will
fish well into September and October but with the unusual summer I think we
will have one hell of a winter in the Pocono Mountains this year, Morning
temps are already in the mid 40 to mid 50's. I can't imagine there will be
too many weeks left fishing up here. Not that I'm complaining because I'm
not. An overnight low of 48 is expected tonight and fishing in the colder
temperatures in the morning will be harder with each passing day. I just
hope I can pop another hundred bass before my motivation comes to a stand
still. So anyone in the area that wants to get some fishing in on one of the
private lakes up here let me know cause time is winding down. At least I
have the NWC to look forward to ;-) |

| As I sit typing and drinking my umpteenth glass of ice water for the
day, I can't help but look forward to this heat being over with in a few
weeks. Being in the refrigeration business in Texas, I've been coming
home so whupped I spend a couple of hours cooling of in front of the
computer and its off to bed. It's too hot to fish days and I'm too tired
to fish nights. Supposed to be a cool front coming through tonight. Low
of 73º - High tomorrow 93º. Enjoy it now, Randy, and I'll just enjoy
your pics on ABPF until it cools off here. BTW, I just won a Berkley Lightning Rod Professional Flippin' Stick on
EBAY for $20. Brand new! MSRP $74.95 Anybody familiar with them? I pick
it up tomorrow. Now I have to come up with a reel to match. I wasn't
really in the market, but I couldn't pass up that kind of deal. Hank |

| We get a little August cold front and you're ready to break out the ice
skates? It's going to be 90 again before it's 30. I fish here into December, and Champlain and on the Hudson into at least
late November. It's mid-season right now in my book. RichZ©

| I love fishing through the fall and in 40 and 50 degree weather. Nobody on
the lake and the big fish are biting consistently. My boat will not get put
away till December, also thank you Kevin Hare and Steve Huber for giving me
the ability to say the words "MY BOAT"..hahaha, thanks again, |
