My mangled Bassing season

In may I was catching between 30 & 40 bass per day... & then in june a kid drove in front of my car & BANG!!! $6,500.00 damage & what's worse My scooter lift is welded onto my outback & I'm left high & dry. I have asthma & arthritis & need my 4 wheeled electric scooter to go fishing. 2 months of prime bassin' time down the drain. on Aug 20 the guys in our family travel to Ontario for our yearly week's fishing trip & I still haven got my car. What a wasted season, & at 70, how many more are in my future? How depressing. Thank God I had the opportunity (via my brther & nephew) to catch a few bass & huge 'gills at a neighbor's Pond. (Has anyone tried fishing for big Koi (gold carp) in may & june? You can see them on top in golden schools or daisy chains. I use small bits of plastic worms in white or yellow suspended under a bobber painted dark green. (or they'll attack the bobber.) They don't have great stamina, but they jump like bass or run like bonefish & in spring you can catch an average of 80 or 10, at least in the seniors only lake I fish (& average 30 bass a day with my "Stealth Bobber" technique.
