Free Credit Report

This is Soooo Cool!

You know how every day, you go to the mailbox and dread the junkmail and bills that arrive? Well, Friday I received this HUGE box choc full o lures, and no bills! Saturday, sitting on the porch was a long cardboard tube with rods in it!

How cool is that? Getting free fishing tackle! I'd like to thank Thundercat for sending this stuff to me, but TC, my boat is just about full, so you can stop sending the stuff for a little while.. ;-p

Now Steve ,don't be greedy .Remember to share with all of the other kids coming to play. Except for Nervis Rek, he has enough of his own toys..hehehe!

Once again work gets in the way of play time for me. Damn I dislike deadlines! Hope you all have a high time!

It's a shame that you can't make it up here once Dave, you'd have a great time. Especially with the toothy critters that inhabit Boom Lake. You haven't lived until you've had a 40 inch plus fish grab your lure at the side of the boat! Steve

Naa... Dave likes those toothy critters to chew on the bass he's got on the line.

I swear I'm still picking hunks of meat out of the carpet on the Nitro!

Steve :

If he's looking for a place to deposit goodies, I'm looking for donations myself ! Not FOR myself though. I'm putting together a regional conference of the American Fisheries Society, which the Vermont Dept. of Fish & Wildlife is hosting. Trouble is, it starts Sept. 19. I'm responsible for all the local arrangements, including finding prizes for the raffle fundraiser (used to sent fisheries students to workshops and conferences), but have had a hard time this summer convincing outdoors manufacturers to donate fishing and hunting related products. Something about the general state of the economy I guess. But serious, if you know of any way I can finagle some last minute raffle items, I'd love to hear !

Thanks

Shawn

I don't think I can help you out in such a short time frame, but I'll see what I can do. I'll try to make some phone calls and e-mails. Steve

What kinds of tings or $$$ value are you looking for. Maybe some of the readers here can help.

I gotta stop by Cabelas on the way to NWC anyway, so.

Hey Fritz ..... I'm looking for anything fishing/outdoor/hunting related. It could be one $5 lure or duck call, or a $100 rod/reel combo. Really what I'm looking for were donations from the manufacturers themselves. Cabelas has already helped me out. Besides it's getting a little late to meet the fisheries conference deadline, but thanks for the offer anyways !

Fritz, If you didn't have to stop at cabelas you could take 90 East to 21 to 51/39 North. It is a lot faster and less Minniapolis hassle. It's the way I go on a regular basis. Mini is so screwed up with construction. If you do go that way do take 94 to 29 to 51/39?

Steve, believe me when I say that if the schedule would allow I'd be there. I'd really like to hook up with a northern or muskie jest once. D.
