A Few Dropshot Questions...
Hey everyone...All this talk lately about dropshotting, palomar knots, 'fancy' hooks, and
everything else has had me thinking and I have a few quick questions for
Warren, Rich Z., or anyone else that likes to dropshot. What does 'your'
typical dropshot rig consist of? What line size, color, and brand do you
usually use? What's your most productive dropshot bait? What size and brand
hooks do you prefer? Do you use a fluoro leader or just attach the hook to the
mainline? If so, what size and do you use a small swivel to attach the fluoro
to the main line? I thought I read once that dropshotting can add a little line
twist and using a swivel can help alleviate some of it. And finally, what rod
or rods do you prefer? If you think of anything that might help someone who
hasn't had much experience dropshotting, by all means feel free to add it. OK,
maybe that's a few more than a few questions. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
