| I saw that in the innovative new products list. Since I have actually used
it I can agree that it works well, but since the only other hook I have used
for drop shotting works very well also I can't give it the glowing praise
that I might. I have never used a regular Z-bend or bait holder hook for
drop shotting so I can't compare on that basis. Now you need to invent a hook for those people who can't legally tie a hook
directly to the main line with a trailing weight because it is classed as a
snagging rig in their state or region. |

well stop all your magazine subscriptions, as I have stories coming
out in all of them this year,, you had better stop watching fishing
shows as well, as these start next mouth show casing my inventions. I'm not sure about you local news paper, but chances are high you will
see them there to I'll change my address back, so it will stay kill filed,, I just
wanted you to know what else you need to do to keep from hearing about
me, or my inventions, it won't be long that you will have to choose
your fishing partners with care, or you will see them using my stuff. Charles, you and Warren can run, but you can't hide, you might as well
accept the fact,, I got some great new products the world will be
using,, even if you won't,, your loss, not the Worlds |

| Guess what else made it into Bassmaster Magazine? C'mon, think about it... Look on page 62. I see Secret Weapon Lures made it
there too, but you didn't see all of us jumping on here to boast. All this
says is that you, or someone in your place, attended this years ICAST. Steve
Price came over to our booth too. Did you get any response from anyone else? We did... but we aren't boasting
about it neither. I can assure you that I'm not hiding from anyone or anything Rodney. |

| No, but there was a whole thread on here started by Bob about the new Secret
Weapon bait coming out. Don't see much difference in the threads myself.

| Actually, it was Bob LaLonde that started the whole thing about the new
Secret Weapon lure. Of the 19 posts in the thread, a mere two of them are
replies by actual members of the Secret Weapon "corporate" staff. Now, had someone come on and said that they'd seen a new standout hook that
was really great looking, I wouldn't have any problem with Rodney replying
to the posts. BUT, this just isn't the case...... |

| Actually other than fishing with Joe once I have no real affiliation with
SWL. The contest from my view point is to promote my website. Of course if
it benefits Joe and Bob and the rest of the SWL crew and we mutually benefit
that doesn't bother me in the least. I have two other manufacturers that
have inquired about doing some kind of contest on the forums. I don't
directly sell SWL lures, and if somebody asks I either direct them locally
to Sportsman's Hide-A-Way or on-line to SWL's website. On the other hand, I do agree that Rodney kinda gets the bums rush. He
reminds of a lot of other tinkers I know. Has ideas and works on them, but
isn't always the best person to promote themselves. I also recall somebody else in the past commenting on nobody complaining
about promotional posts by accepted regulars, but raising a stinka bout
others. That was when I first started reading this newsgroup a couple years
ago. I stayed out of htat one because I didn't know the score then.

| That's right, he should treat me fairly. When the troll changed his addy
to get out of killfiles before, he swore it was a mistake. He's done it
twice since. He doesn't do this to contribute to the group, he is doing
it just to irritate, the definition of troll. If people don't like what
Bob or anyone else posts, they can decide for themselves whether an
occasional "commercial" would make them want to miss out on other good
informative posts. But if you don't like what rodney posts, you have to
leave the group or keep adding and adding to your killfile. |

Like I've said many times,, a person would be a fool to try to sell
stuff over a news group,, what 50 members here ?,, 2 1/2 million
readers of Bassmasters. Ya'll just knew about the hook long before
they did (gee you got the news before anyone else, thus a "news"
group) I did not post this to try and sell anyone anything,, I don't sell
those hooks anyway, I just invented them. The post was made to put
some so called experts on this list, in their place of being arrogant
AH's These guys are the reasons no pro's, and no biggies in the industry
participate in this news group |

| While I find it kinda pushy for someone who never posts about anything
else to post a commercial here, I expect it occasionally, and don't
really object to it. The only thing I ever objected to about Rodney's
posts was his AH attitude. He doesn't post here to try to sell stuff, he
is just trying to get everybody's goat. |

| I have no problem with your post although, as you say, you do benefit from the
contest as does Secret Weapon. I have never complained about commercial posts
here - as long as they are about fishing stuff I dont mind it. I have been running a trivia contest on my site for several years and get a lot
of free stuff to give away. Don't think I have ever mentioned it or the stuff
sent to me for free until now, but my memory ain't that good. I think it is ridiculous to jump on commercial post here when some may help
you out. If you don't like the post, go on to the next one, don't try to stir
up the stink. I sometimes get caught up in some of the silly post here but do
my best to ignore them.

| Ok... but by NO means was I making any statement for SW. My opinions are
mine alone and are totally separate from anyone else. But, look at the way RL comes in here. He knows that we have him kill-filed
so he changes his address in order to pass through our filters. We are doing
what we can to avoid him... Secondly, he only comes in here to boast or brag about his accomplishments.
Never once do I recall an actual thread of his that has not lead to a
discussion of how he has revolutionized fishing and that his way is the only
way. Everyone else is stupid for not following his lead. That's what ticks
me off... I know I should learn to ignore it. I have in the past, and even
kill-filed him to maintain myself. I'm sure that everyone here, AL included, has made some great
accomplishments too, but choose to keep them to themselves. Merry Christmas to everyone, even RL. Let's try to end this thing here and
find some other way to deal with this Cabin Fever. Did you get any of the
ice and snow down there Ronnie? It's cold here... and isn't expected to
improve anytime soon. |

| No ice and snow, just cold. I have my first club tournament two weeks from
Sunday = gonna get out next week and check out the lake.. My smaller pond froze over this past week but was clear today. The bream hit
the floating fish food I threw out pretty good, so some fish are still active!

| Why are you so obsessed then with letting AH's know about your hooks all the
time, if your products can outfish every angler you go out with.... then
show up at the MTC next year and put us all to shame, but until then leave
the AH's alone. We don't like to be bothered |
