I haven't winterized yet...
Is it too late? The weather has been below the freezing mark for a few days now and my boat
is sitting outside covered up, and not winterized. I have lowered the motor
to drain whatever water was in there, but that's about it. My fuel tank is
about half full and untreated... all my tackle and equipment is still
loaded, batteries are charged, and the boat hasn't seen the lake since
October 24th. |

| It's never too late. Treat the gasoline, fire up the engine and fog it, remove the batteries and
store someplace it's not at freezing temps. |

| Charles, You should be fine. You could put some Stabil (or other fuel stabilizer) in
the tank, but as long as it's covered, the batteries are charged and the
drain plug is pulled, everything is all right. |

| As long as there isn't any water in the lower unit oil! From experience, I
would also go out and drain the old lower unit oil and replace it. It
doesn't take long, and could potentially save you a thousand dollars.

| It's actually important t5o not only add stabilizer to the fuel, but to run
the stabilized fuel through the engine itself...

| Planning on doing that today since we're having a warm snap. LOL As long as my garden hose is fully defrosted. |

| Too Late. Only thing now to do is tow it down to FL and leave it at Doc's
and let him drive it all winter. Better for the boat, and also be sure you
fill the tank before leaving it at Doc's. It is enough work for him to run
the boat a couple of days a week but since he is not charging your for his
service, you could leave the gas credit card also.

Reese. It' safe here 'till hurricane season! Doc

| :) :) :) !!!! Read as I look at the 41 degree temp outside at 10pm and the weather report
stating it might dip to freezing tonight. But on the other hand... 70 degree
temps for this coming weekend! :) I'm looking foward to using my new digital weigher. No more of that $4
discounted spring loaded one that was 1 lbs off. |
