Fishing with Strangers
Was it Roy Rogers who said, "A stranger is just a friend I haevn't met
yet."?In the last four days I have fished with four people I never met before we
headed out on the water. We caught some fish every day, and I met some
really great guys. This internet things is pretty cool. I think its going
to catch on.

| Michael Seewald (the artist) and his wife Valerie dragged their boat down
here a couple days ago and we went out on Mittry Lake. Dave Willhide gave
us a tip and we picked up one decent fish there. Then we hit one of my
spots and picked up another. I forgot my camera in Michaels boat, but he
showed up at my house the next evening with it. We stood out on the street
and chatted for atleast a half an hour. Jarod Ballardo and I hit the river yesterday. We caught five keepers, and
Jarod flipped a 3 plus in a spot I reccomended under the conditions. I
figure we did pretty good for an overcast winter day. Today I hit the water with Jay (Hiking-Jay of the forums here) and his
friend James. We were following a hot striper tip (another one to Dave's
credit) and we bagged three of them Nothign huge, but nice and meaty.
Great guys and a great day on the water. |

I have fished with one stranger in the past 5 years,I caught some bass,he
caught some bream.I haven't heard from him since.
But he did "catch" a fishing rod. |
