Easy View Tackle System
Hi Guys and Gals,I recently attended a fishing and outdoor show (that time of the year) and
one of the items that caught my interest was a tackle storage system for
boats. It has been my experience that there never seems to be enough
storage space for tackle no matter how large the boat! (curse of the bass
fisherman :-) ) Anyway, here is the link to the web site......
http://www.easyviewtackle.com/index.html Let me say that I am not trying to sell anything here, but I would like your
opinions as to the pros and cons of such a system and if the system has
merit or is a ripoff before I plunk down my bucks that could be better
utilized by purchasing more fishing tackle. LOL! Let me know what you think. Keep yer baits wet and yer fanny dry! |

| Man, that looks like an interesting system. I've tried for years to keep
lures and soft baits organized in my boat. It always started out looking
like a good system, but by the end of the day, the boat is trashed and
there's bags all over the place. I'm going to have to check that out further. Thanks for the link! |

| It looks like the old potato chip clip strips that you see in stores with
packages of peanuts, or potato chips etc hanging from the end or side of a
display.

| My boat has foam under some of the locker tops - you can stick lures in it and
they stay good. BUT, they do take up room, if the locker is full they stick to
stuff in it. And they are harder to see, especially if you are kneeling or
standing. I don't know if I would like it or not but I am not thrilled with
that type storage for lures on my boat.

| I have actually seen this system, or one just like it, at boat shows the
past couple of years. While at first, it appears to be some whiz-bang new
great idea, further inspection lead me to believe that these were just
impulse/POS (no not piece o'sh*t, actually I mean Point of Sale) clip racks
for bagged products like potato chips and such, out of convenience/grocery
stores, that have been wrangled into racks for mounting into boats. While it (Easy View system) appears to be affordable, I've never tried one
or seen one actually mounted up inside a boat though. For my soft/plastic
bagged baits, I've become fond of the bag I got from Tackle Logic that has
adhesive strips that you stick to each product's bag, and is drilled for
mounting into their 3 ring bag system. I think the notebook-style bag came
with 25 or so strips, and I've been able to reuse many of them, and
replacements are cheap and easy to find in my area. Maybe if my little boat
had more under-lid surface area to use this Easy View system with, I'd
consider it more. But for now, my little Tackle Logic plastics "notebook"
works just fine. What I really think when I see something like this system is, why didn't *I*
think of it? lol |
