Berkley Vanish Transition opinions
Has anyone used this line and if so what is your opinion of it? |

| I have used Berkley Vanish (not transition) and for a Fluorocarbon it is
absolute crap compared to other products you could buy. Seaguar Carbon
Pro or Even P-Line Fluorocarbon is way better than Vanish ever hopes to
be. With that said, I am a huge Berkley fan, and was very disappointed
with their fluorocarbon product. Also for leaders, nothing beats
Seaguar Grand Max, again you pay for it, but it is worth it IMHO. If
money is on the line, then pay the for the better stuff, but if you are
just fishing recreationally and on a limited budget, I guess Vanish will
get the job done, but absolutely make sure you wet your knots before
cinching them down, soak it! good luck, Chris |

Ditto to what Chris said. I haven't tried the transition line, but
after my plain vanish experience, I doubt that I will try it (unless I
get some free). Harry J aka Thundercat

| Yeah the regular vanish is the pits. You can't go wrong with the Yozuri Hybrid line. We fish the 10# on
almost every lure. Jigs, worms, senkos, spinnerbaits... you get the idea. Just bought a bunch of the Hybrid 12#, I'll let you know how i like it
in the spring. Dave V |

| I have used Vanish and thought it was crap. P-Line Flouroclear is pretty
good, but becasue it is a flouro coated mono it tends flake off after a
couple days of heavy use. Seaguar Carbon pro absolutely rocks. Its tough,
doesn't break unless it is damaged. It will fish well every day for a week
if you just clip off six inches of line and retie a couple times a day. The
first six inches of any line gets pretty torn up. The only line I have ever
fished with that is better for durability os a fusion braid like Power Pro.
The CarbonPro catches plenty of fish. I fish stick worms with it in gin
clear water, and I have watched fish run into the line.
