Water Clarity

Would someone provide a link or general rule on identifying the water clarity classification. (clear, stained, muddy, etc)?

Thanks, Mike

http://www.mlswa.org/secchi.htm will fill you in on the real deal, but most folks just use a white spinnerbait to do the same thing. offered up Huck Huck

Anything you find should be considered a rough guideline. For instance, there are some back waters I fish that tend to be gin clear. If it is even the least bit stained you better switch to night time muddy water baits with a big profile and a huge rattle. Then you got to hit them on the nose with it.

That same bit of mild stain might be considered clear to lightly stained elsewhere, but there its like pea soup to those fish.
