Talk about a lake being hot!
Not Lake Fork in east Texas, but west Texas Lake Alan Henry produces 4,
yes 4 13lb'ers in 2 days. Read about it here:http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fish/infish/hatchery/tffc/newsrel/lunkers4_7_05.htm http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fish/infish/hatchery/tffc/newsrel/lunkers4_7_05.htm |

| I just noticed the double posting of one link. The second link was
supposed to be:
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fish/infish/hatchery/tffc/entries.phtml
This shows the entries for this season. Sharelunker only runs between
Oct 1 - Apr 30. This link also allows you to see photos. |

| lol Not so amazing if you consider that the bait was definitely banging off
the bottom...which I try to do when I can if the bite is slow. But you're
right, a 20ft crankbait in 6 ft of water, seems like a little overkill. I
could get nearbout anything to hit the bottom of a 6 ft column, except for
maybe some suspending Rogue jerkbaits...maybe they chose it for its size?
Bigger baits draw bigger bites? |

| Done that Warren. Remember when I suggested that to Alwaysfishking when his
secret lakes shut him down in the fall? There is a Lake near Alexandria MN
called Red Rock that I banged stumps all afternoon in the fall with a DD-22
in 10 feet of water or less. Caught the occasional walleye as well. All the
éyes were over 4lbs. Joe Z. "go-bassn" <donwar@erols.com> wrote in message

working. Cast them into a rocky or gravel/sand shoreline and bounce
them off the bottom. LM's love them.
