Talk about a lake being hot!

Not Lake Fork in east Texas, but west Texas Lake Alan Henry produces 4, yes 4 13lb'ers in 2 days. Read about it here:

I just noticed the double posting of one link. The second link was supposed to be: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fish/infish/hatchery/tffc/entries.phtml This shows the entries for this season. Sharelunker only runs between Oct 1 - Apr 30. This link also allows you to see photos. Henry

lol Not so amazing if you consider that the bait was definitely banging off the bottom...which I try to do when I can if the bite is slow. But you're right, a 20ft crankbait in 6 ft of water, seems like a little overkill. I could get nearbout anything to hit the bottom of a 6 ft column, except for maybe some suspending Rogue jerkbaits...maybe they chose it for its size? Bigger baits draw bigger bites? SimRacer

Done that Warren. Remember when I suggested that to Alwaysfishking when his secret lakes shut him down in the fall? There is a Lake near Alexandria MN called Red Rock that I banged stumps all afternoon in the fall with a DD-22 in 10 feet of water or less. Caught the occasional walleye as well. All the éyes were over 4lbs. Joe Z.

That reminds me how productive Wally Divers are when nothing else is working. Cast them into a rocky or gravel/sand shoreline and bounce them off the bottom. LM's love them.
