hey Charles.........
Are you fishing in the Frostbite Open this weekend? From the reports I
get,the fishing over there should be heating up.After you posted the story
about the guy you saw at Priest with the 7+ smallmouth I don't know how you
can drive by the lake w/out stopping! |

| Unfortunately, I won't be able to do much this weekend...
Fortunately, I don't have to pass the lake on my way to work each morning! I've only managed to get out once so far this year, but if my plans hold
out... next weekend I'll be out. At least on Sunday. Haven't even checked
the reports, but I hope that the pre-spawn frenzy waits for me. |

| I hear you. With a sick wife and a one year old it's been hard for me to get
out too.I am supposed to go next Sat. and Sun. so look for snow and
sub-freezing temps. :)
I do have to drive by the lake and it's killing me! |

| With my luck... we'll get snow. |

| So fish anyway. Jeez, I usually start out my season in the snow, and end it
in the snow too! As long as I don't have to break too much ice to get the
boat in...... |

| Snow, rain, sleet, through the ice, I've caught them under just about all
conditions. But, being a northern fish, especially those in rivers seem
less affected by cold water. |

| Looking on the reports site, it seems to be a few things this time of year.
One of course is the float-n-fly, others include small jigs and jerkbaits. |
