More cats on spinners
A while back we spent some time throwing inline spinners to a weedline in a
small pond. Maybe 45 acres. I caught four or five bass doing that, and
amazingly 4 channel cats from 1.5 t about 4 pounds. Thes guys were
definitely chasing aggressively like bass or probably more like stripers.

| I am not sure if we are all telling Catfish stories, but one night on
Lake Butte Des Morts , probably about 11pm or Midnight I was twitching a
#13 Black Silver Rapala (belly painted black for night fishing) when I
huge roll engulfed my rapala. It turned out to be about an 8# Channel
cat. Pretty good fight, I thought for sure I had a huge bass or a Northern. Oh well , those were the days :-) Chris |

| I catch cats all the time while bass fishing. Alot of times they are
exactly where a bass should be too...hate them slimy critters. Warren |

| I was on the Potomac a few years back, desperately searching for my limit
fish in a tourney that I lead after day 1. I hit a boathouse that I've
caught a ton of bass on & made a pitch to my favorite piling with a 5" tube.
When I tightened up I felt a heavy fish swiming toward me. Was using my
flippin stick & 30# mono. I slammed that whiskerhead so hard I stuck that
5/0 Mustad right through its brain because it died instantly lol. It
weighed at least 15#. It was fun setting the hook anyway... Warren |
