Super Service  OT Shimano Scorpions

Just wanted to take a moment and thank a fellow ROFB'er even if he does only lurk.

I just received my two new Shimano Scorpions in the mail from Brooklyn Bill, even though I just sent payment yesterday. Talk about speedy service. Bill has donated some of these reels in the past to the " R.O.F.B Classics" and I find them to be about the best reel for the money... period. I now own 4 of them and wouldn't mind having another one or two to tell you the truth. I was outside pitching in the snow piles and can't wait till ice off...should be soon. I'm even more excited about fishing the MTC this year. Just wanted to say thanks again Bill.

How does that Shimano Scorpion compare with a Shimano Curado. Besides the price. LOL I have one Curado, and I like it pretty well. I've been considering gettig another one or two. Bob

IMO the Scorpions are the bee's knees. I used to have a Curado. Now I have Scorpions. I would not go back. I prefer the size, weight and feel of the Scorpion. I prefer the braking system(s) on the Scorpions. Is the Scorpion my favorite reel? Nope. That's my Antares AR (also available at Bill's Shop). But that's a horse of a different color all together. For the money, there is no other reel I would own. I'm what you would call a Scorpion junkie I suppose.

Randy, and anyone else with a Scorpion. How do the Scorpions do with heavier baits? I have been reading about them and everyone appears to think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread for lighter, 1/4 or even less, baits. How is the outside adjustment feature to set when changing to baits of different weights/configurations? Any idea on US service in the near future? danl4x@charter.net Remove the x for e-mail reply www.outdoorfrontiers.com www.SecretWeaponLures.com A proud charter member of "PETAF", People for Eating Tasty Animals and Fish!!! No problem here fishing heavier baits with them, I used them a bunch last year pitching 1/2 oz pegged weights to craws, but man you can cast those light lures a mile with em
