26 day and counting....
Only 26 days left until the tournament begins. The roster is showing 8
boaters and 8 non boaters. 7 of each, of course will lose. The more I study
the roster: http://www.midtennclassic.org/roster.htm, the more I'm convinced
that I may move from my lowly second place status... up to the number one
spot! If I can eke my way through, passing up the only person that I fear,
and probably the only person that understands our southern lakes better than
anyone... I believe I can take this thing. Maybe I won't name names... just
so that person doesn't think he has an edge over the rest of us, or maybe so
that person doesn't feel the pressure to live up to his respect. But I think
he knows who he is...so I won't say his name.Our Northern guests may also pose a threat to my plan. They've done it
before, but I refuse to let them do it again. I'm not going to make the same
mistake I made last time... no way. Last time, I ran out of my secret baits!
I could have just hung up my keys after that and saved gas money. But my
partner in the back was still catching, still culling, still fishing. He did
everything he could to help me, just short of setting the hook and handing
me a rod. I was proud to have him on my boat, and I hope he didn't make him
think I was just another idiot without a clue. I'm sure I looked that way
though. This time is different! Very different! I've got a plan, yes indeed... a
plan! I dare not share it with any of you, and I dare not speak a work.
We'll just wait to see if it works and I'm sure it will. Please, do not
follow me as we leave the launch because I am smart... you think I'll go
right to work with my new plan, but no... I'll not do that. I'll see you
there, watching, waiting, daring me to give you a clue. But I won't. I'll
wait til you bore and leave me be, then I'll execute my plan and win, win,
WIN! Damn, has quitting smoking screwed me up or what? (AAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHH) I
think my head is clearing anyway. So much for my Poe impression above, guess
I better leave that up to the real writers. Anyway, 26 more days til
tournament time... get yer stuff ready and draw out your game plan... cause
I am ready! --

| I hope CH has some water in it before the tournament.The B.I.T.E. team
tournament was won with just under 16#.Yesterday Doug markham said it needs
to come up 10-12 ft. to make the fishing like it "ought to be".
I hope you do win Pro,unless I am there of course. :) |
