First day out...
Well, had a couple hours to spare tonight so I took my 6 yr old daughter
with me to give her some practice with casting and whatnot. She's only six
but, she's gettin it pretty well. I think she's goin for the shock thing
(smacking the bobber and bait on the water) but sadly, we didn't catch
anything at all. Seemed to be too many people fishin the little pond we go
to. Saw a keeper and flicked my tube past em a couple times to no avail. It
was lurking under the little foot bridge but he'd been tried for soo many
times that he was floatin around like the coy not caring much about
anything... The local kids said they've been tryin to get em on their hook
all day with no luck so I pretty much gave up, packed up and came home...Next time out though, I will be alone and won't be so easy to ignore...next

without a bite! I envy you, my daughter is all grown up now, and those
