new boat owner
My brother who just so happen be enlisted in the US Coast Guard has never
owned a boat other then a pirogue. I offered to give him a couple of my
used boats before but he always stated he has no place to store one. Things
changed for him last year. His wife delivered his second child, a son and
he reenlist for a fourth time. He was luck enough to be able to stay in his
home since he can drive within two hours from his home and get to 6
different US Coast Guard stations near his home and he was relocated to one
of them.He decided to take some of his reenlistment money and buy a small boat. He
has used my flat several times and he decided that he would look for
something similar but with a semi vee front instead of a traditional square
front. He decided on an Xpress 16 foot package with a 50 Yamaha. He called
me yesterday while he was out shopping and he asked me what I think. I told
him the boat would serve his purpose since he wants to freshwater fish and
yet be able to pull it up on the ridges along the sloughs or bayous of South
Louisiana. He should have years hunting and fishing enjoyment from this
type of boat instead of just a bass fishing rig. He plans on picking it up today, so he called me after he purchased it. He
wants to take it out for a spin before he brings it home. I am wishing him
