| Bo Jour, Hug. I live near Lancaser Pa. (not the best bass place in the
world.) but every year my family men spend a week in Ontario after Bass
& some Pike. Have you got bass in france? I know friends that fish for
them in Japan & South Africa, but I didn't know about Bass in Europe.
Have you the awesome Smallmouth Bass or the bigger, but weaker
Largemouth variety? As for equipment I got to like a spincast reel in
the 1950s & never looked back. It is fabulous for flipping, pitching &
casting into the shore because it's more accurate than the open faced
spinning reel. My favorite lre presentatons. I love to speed a buzz
bait, Pop R or Zara Spook in the shallows & weedbeds &when I get a strke
(top water lures often get missed by bass) I cast a lizard or tube (I
like chartreuse or bluegill color) & retreive it dead slow over the
place I got the strike on the buzz bait or top lure. Feel free to E mail
me as I'm curious about bass fishing in France (My home town is the home
of the Amish peope who don't use autos or electricity & plow their
fields using horses & mules.) Everyone from across the Atlantic seems to
be interested in that culture. Please feel free to E mail me. Carl. Good
fishing & beter catching. <'(((>>< -- |

Never fished in Europe, but watched guys bass fishing on lake Trasimeno,
Italy. 19' Bass tracker, that cost a lot more there than here. I think the
Po river also has bass. Would guess they were Small Mouth as they like the
rivers better. Seemed too cold and swift in Po and Lourdes, but the bass
live in rivers that freeze in the US. Good luck.
