Suffix DNA

Spooled up some of this line today on my scorpion after some rave reviews at the MTC, I have to tell you, I'm not disapointed. It casts nicely and is very smooth. The blue line I put on disappears below the water nicely as well. Now lets see how it holds up on the brush and sticks. The yozuri line I use handles that very well. I hope this line is comparable..

Has anyone used that Red Cajun line yet?

I had some Cajun Red Lightning 14 lb test, It was ok, but I like a hi vis line, I couldn't see it very out of the water. It's made by Shakespeare..

Personally, I didn't like the amount of stretch in the line. When I used it, I set the hook into a fish and bounced the reel off my chest. I felt that there was a lot of lost feel for the lure as well. Steve

http://www.cajunline.com/ There are two that I know of, Cajun Red Cast, and Cajun Red Lightning. I have only used the Cast, and I like it. I've seen on another forum where people tend to like it or hate it, but never seem to tell which one they are using. To me, it doesn't seem to have as much stretch as most mono, even though I really notice it since I usually use PowerPro. I find it has very little memory, and is strong and durable. I haven't had any knots break, and it seems to hold up pretty good against the wood and weeds. ( I haven't fished much rock with it.) However, I've seen lots of posts from people complaining about memory and breakage and stretch. Either most of these are using Lightning, or Cajun has some real quality control problems where it matters greatly which day yours was made.

I tried the Cajun last year and liked it, but it seemed to get weak real fast - maybe from being exposed to sunlight. I don't use it any more. Ronnie

Aren't you the same guy that heckled me for spooling that stuff up last year?

I used the 14# for a baitcaster just for spinnerbaits. Worked ok i guess but I'll take YZ Hybrid over DNA.

I still have a large spool of it left and a new large spool of 12# hybrid. I think the 10# Hybrid is better than any of them for worming.

I have a spinning reel that needs new line... That'll get the 10# Hybrid for sure. I'll respool my baitcaster with the DNA and report later.

I don't fish with you for the conversation, or your great fish catching skills for that matter
