River Fishing
I have never fished for bass in the spring in a river, where do they
spawn at, largemouth and small mouth? |

| First you want to get out of the current. Finding protected backwater
areas is key. The less areas like this you have on the river, the more
the fish will pack into these areas. We have areas that when looking at
a river from a map look like a small creek armm, or even a small pond
coming off the main river channel. Concentrate your effort in these
areas. Find areas with wood cover, and a slightly harder bottom,
identical to your classic spawning areas in lakes. The darker the
water, the shallower they will be. Good luck, Chris |
