Yankee Peach Trick Worms

This is how Bob makes his "Yankee Peach" Trick worms. Bob was the top man on the Georgia team at the Southern Regional last year. I did a Georgia Outdoor News article with him in which he mentioned this color he makes.

"I use crawdad worms made by Culprit. I put the white trick worms on the bottom of the bag, the crawdads on top, then spray copious amounts of original Anise (licorice smelling) Baitmate in the bag. Squeeze the air out & "cook them off " on the dashboard of the truck -usually takes 5-7 days. Every time I get in the truck I kinda knead them around in the bag-for lack of a better term- working them around so they absorb the color as evenly as possible. the baitmate leaches the orange pigment out of the crawdads."

I do a similiar thing with the speedworms, only I lay red shad worms over the white ones, "The Candy Cane", I like fishing them in the thick grass alwaysfishking

Thanks Ronnie. I've been "cooking" some with ground up Gulp that hasn't seemed to work well. I'll add some anise oil and I'll try Bob's recipe as well. SWMBO always jumps at the chance for a new recipe. Now when she asks what I'm doing I'll just say "trying a new recipe honey". ;) Da
