Yesterday (Saturday)
It seems like just yesterday, uh mmm, oh yea, it was just yesterday.
I took a new friend from work out fishing. Ray is the EMT at the site
I am at and is from New York city.We arrived at a small lake nearby around 4:00 pm and I showed him how
to tie a Gamy to his Fireline. We were throwing Horney Toads into,
over and around weeds/pads and wood. Ray was laughing as I threw into
shallow notches in the bank untill I brought out a nice 4 + Bass and a
bunch of dinks. He then started to hit every inside corner he could
get to. I put him in good position all evening. Ray caught about
12/15 fish in the 1 to 3+ range and lost a real nice size fish in the
weeds after it jumped. I caught a few less but lost what had to be a six pounder myself.
Next time I will net it and get it into the boat fast :<{ It was a perfect evening sunny with just enough wind to keep the bugs
down. It's been a while since I fished with anyone and it was great
fun, telling jokes and kidding around. It is fun to watch someone
that has done a lot of surf casting try to cast lighter equipment and
terminal tackle into the wind. I removed one tremendous professional
over-run for him as he was about to cut the line. He did pretty good
and said he had fun. If I remember right, that is what it is all
about :<}
