Google Launching National WiFi Wireless Services

From now on can we expect posts from the boat as the fish are landed.

Online search leader Google is preparing to launch a wireless Internet service, Google WiFi, according to several pages found on the company's Web site on Tuesday

According to Business 2.0 - "Free Wi-Fi? Get Ready for GoogleNet. A trail of hidden clues suggests Google is building its own Internet -- and might be looking to let everyone connect for free."

Google declined to comment, but In April it launched a Google-sponsored Wi-Fi hotspot in San Francisco’s Union Square shopping district, built by a local startup called Feeva. Feeva is reportedly readying more free hotspots in California, Florida, New York, and Washington, and it's possible that Google may be involved. Feeva CEO Nitin Shah confirms that the company is working with Google but won't discuss details

WiFi is an increasingly popular technology that is used to provide high-speed wireless Internet access in homes, business and public spaces like airports and coffee shops. WiFi connectivity is built into many new laptop computers, as well as some handheld devices.
