The Kid "slipped" a notch....
(Unofficial standings after day two, top 5)Aaron Martens....22.68 John Kerr.....20.80 Gary Dobyns......19.48 Stan Vanderbrg..18.88 John Murray18.58 (And a bunch more with-in striking distance) This is a strange Open this year...2 tournaments in one, the U.S. Open,
and The Miller High Life Western Classic. John is 2nd in the Open, and
first in the Classic (Martens isn't qualified in the Classic). Should be a great finish tomorrow....nervous dad, but like Warren
said...I'll be proud no matter how it plays out! John K |

| Not a good last day for the kid...went out in the last flights, and his
fish were covered. couldn't put anything else together. Dropped from 2nd
to 20th., tuff day! Martens won it going away, and Dobyns finished 3rd, but took the Western
Classic. John did finish 4th in the Classic....but not much consolation after
leading the whole thing on day one, and going in 2nd on the final day. Luck of the draw I guess....still really proud of the "Kid" :)! John |

| As well you should be. Anytime someone pursues their dreams, and does as
well as John has, is someone to be proud of! There's nothing wrong with a
Top 25 finish at that level of competition. |
