Winter Storage
I know the procedure for storing an outboard for winter, but I'm not too sure
of what to use for "fogging" fluid.
what is this stuff made of or any substitutes?

| Pat, if you are really unsure, it's best left to your dealer. You can
also get a service manual for any engine made and your local deal will
have the products you need to properly fog your engine. If I remember
right the procedure is printed on the can. You should also change out the lower unit fluid and check for signs of
water. Good time to properly clean & grease your steering cables, which
isn't always easy. Carlos |

| StarBrite and Pennzoil both make marine engine fogging sprays for storage of
outboard motors. A simple google.com search will provide you with more
links than you can shake a stick at. I'd also check with your local marina,
they probably have the product on the shelf for those that want to do it
themselves. |
