St Croix Customer Service

Just wanted to relay my good experience with St Croix rods. While I can't seem to catch a bass in Wisconsin, I've been VERY successful at getting good customer service out of the State's best fishing rod manufacturer. I recently sent 7 Premier Series rods to them for various tiptop & guide repairs. There were probably 15 parts that needed replacement overall. The turnaround time was about 3 weeks & total cost including return shipment was around $75. Now I've got 7 like-new excellent rods back in my arsenal.

Thanks St Croix!

Jerry, you still have those high-end Legend Series rods for sale?

Pretty impressive service on Harold's part... Shipping costs alone are pretty steep, because using the length + circumference method to calculate weight, most rods have to go USPS with the rate for a 15-pound package.

I have to say St Croix customer service has been very good to me. I've only sent them a couple rods to be repaired. Mostly cermic inserts that had popped out on the cheaper Premier rods. They have been quick and courteous in taking care of my problems. Even still I usually have a local rod builder repair my rods. He just charges ten dollars to replace a broken or damaged eyelet. It costs more than that to ship a rod to St Croix. He has rewrapped a couple. I can't tell the difference. For anybody who might be passing through Yuma his name is Simon Apodaka, and he owns King Cobra Lures. I just drop my rod off at Sportmen's Hide-A-Way and Harold puts a tag with my name on it. Usually I can pick up my repaired rod a week later. Harold does not charge for handling them.
